Bocce on the agenda for Friendship Village residents

Bocce is now another sport to add to the impressive list of activities at Friendship Village, Schaumburg - Chicagoland's premier retirement community. 

"Recreational activity and light competition can provide a huge bump in the enjoyment of a resident's latter years," said Michael McCann, Director of Lifestyles. " Bocce is a perfect way to achieve this as it is a sport anyone can play and is as much about strategy as it is strength or athleticism."

Key to providing Bocce, at Friendship Village, has been their acquisition of the inflatable bocce courts from Packaworld. 

The courts can be set up in minutes and packed away and stored negating the need for a permanent location.

"The main focus at Friendship Village seems to be all about quality of life," said American Bocce Company co-founder Ben Tudor. "and we're wrapped that bocce is now one of the sports that can now be offered to the residents to help improve that quality."
