Miramar clinch 'golden goal' in KCU Easter tournament

Congratulations to Miramar Rangers who edged out a brave North Wellington 'Eagles' team performance, to be crowned 11th Grade Champions at the Kapit Coast Easter Tournament.  

​Miramar proved worthy winners but with 1-0 up with a minute to spare of extra time, cracked under the intense pressure, when a last minute screamer by North Wellington's left back Callum Goodwin took the game to Golden Goal.

With 4 minutes into Golden Goal and the game evenly balanced, Miramar broke away down the left and the resulting cross was slotted home by their impressive centre forward Angus Sneddon. A very proud NW Coach, Pete Roberts, reflected on the result, "Miramar are a very well drilled team and on balance the result was probably a fair one. That said, I am very proud of what we have achieved today and our performance bodes well for the season ahead".
