The Goalball Packagoals are inflatable, making them quick to set up and easy to pack away for storage. They are also highly portable, making it simple for the association to run introductory goalball sessions at local schools and events.
Packaworld chief executive Peter Roberts said the continued growth in the sport was testament to the passion and hard work of the volunteers behind Goalball Australia’s competitions.
“Goalball South Australia is a great example of a state association that is thinking outside the box and putting in the hard work to raise the profile of goalball. They are leading the way when it comes to growing the sport outside of Australia’s largest cities and it’s no surprise they have had players in Australian national goalball squads over the years.”
Goalball South Australia ran the Australian Goalball Championships last year, hosting teams from around the country for the nation’s flagship goalball event. Local players used the portable goals at many of their training sessions, in preparation for the championships.
Packaworld’s Goalball Packagoals were developed in consultation with Blind Sport New Zealand. They are increasingly used by organisations around the world to run local competitions and introductory goalball sessions designed to grow participation in the Paralympic sport.
