Packagoals pass the wind test

At Oriental Bay, with gusts of over 60km /hr,  Wellington lived up to its reputation of being the windiest city in NZ. This did not deter the footballers participating in the Wellington 2013 Beach Football Championships who despite the conditions put on a great show for all to see.

The Packagoals, being used for the first time at the tournament,  proved to be an equal match for the blustery conditions.

"The Futsal goals stood up really well to the windy conditions,'" said Pete Roberts, Packaworld. "which is something I often get asked  about."

The eventual winners ‘Bad Boys’ from Wellington were pushed to the very end by the Hawkes Bays –‘Sand Castle Whites’ to take out the 2013 title 3-1.
