Packaposts were on show at a Hurricanes Alumni Dinner at Wellington’s Westpac Stadium last night in the lead-up to the weekend’s test match between the All Blacks and Wales.
Around 400 rugby supporters attended the dinner, which featured speeches from All Blacks Coach Steve Hansen and Wales Coach Warren Gatland OBE, while Scotty Stevenson of Sky Sports ran the question and answer session.
Packaworld supported the event, providing inflatable rugby Packaposts for the event’s auction, with proceeds donated to a new Hurricanes Alumni Fund to support the development of Hurricanes Rugby, and Alumni members facing hardship.
All-Blacks, Hurricanes and the Welsh rugby entourage mingled with rugby enthusiasts at the dinner. Those in attendance were greatly impressed with the Packaposts that graced the foyer.
"They look great" said ex-Hurricane and Alumini Trustee Mike Russell, "you have to get up pretty close and personal to realise they are inflatable."
“We’re really passionate about sports and delighted to be able to be able to support such a worthy cause,” said Packaworld CEO Peter Roberts, "These posts were developed in partnership with NZ Rugby for those serious about making the grass roots game more attractive for kids to play. A professionally made and innovative product, these posts are catching the attention of unions around the world, especially developing rugby nations.”
