"The Packaposts were originally developed for Rippa Rugby, a game introduced back in 2003 by NZ Rugby to introduce kids to rugby. Whilst a fun game to play, it doesn't really represent the real game and I know for a fact that a lot of kids prefer to kick a ball in a goal hence why football is becoming more popular at the junior level," continued Roberts. "Compare now how a more exciting game could look with the ability for coaches to set up a some posts on a multitude of surfaces, that are taken out the boot of your car, inflated in seconds and are safe to use. I know the kids love a target so wouldn't it be great to see a new game evolve that was more like the real thing - extra points for under the post tries, drop goals, conversions which after all are part of the real game."
"As I said to someone recently, these post are not a gimmick. Instead these products are a serious attempt at trying to make rugby more attractive for kids to play and help towards arresting the decline of the sports uptake". Comments are closed.
