The popularity of bocce has increased the demand for courts, especially for the more serious competitors who require approved sized courts and equipment.

The Challenge

Similar to English lawn bowls and French petanque, bocce ball is a sport that can be played both indoor and out, by everyone.

Bocce is played at sports clubs, in schools, for rehabilitation in physiotherapy, for the fun of it - or as a serious elite sport.

The popularity of bocce has increased the demand for courts especially for the more serious competitors that require approved sized courts and equipment.

Traditionally these courts are made of wood and require a dedicated area on which to play. For national competitions, where multiple bocce courts are required, moving, assembling and transporting the courts requires trailers, containers, and significant man power.

The Solution

'Packabocce' is a portable bocce court. Just roll it out of the bag, pump it up and in less than 10 minutes you're ready to play.

Developed in partnership with New Zealand Special Olympics, Packabocce courts are helping players and competition organisers to grow the game of bocce ball by revolutionising the way courts are transported and set up. Never before has a bocce court been developed that can fit comfortably in the boot of a small car.

From the makers of Packagoals, Packabocce is made from heavy duty thermoplastic and is both rigid, safe and maintenance free. Its unique auto-lock valve and slick design not only make the bocce court look professional but allow for rapid inflation and deflation, making it easy and quick to transport. The courts are also easy to pack away, removing the need to store expensive assets outside or in expensive storage space.
Anyone that is serious about Bocce should not be without a Packabocce

Improving people's lives

Sport is well known for improving lives, building healthier, more inclusive communities and enabling positive cross-cultural relationships

Yet people’s ability to play, and play well, is hindered by limited access to sports equipment, which is often too expensive to buy, and too difficult or dangerous to set up, move or store.

A sport for all

Hear from Mike Ryan - Technical Bocce Delegate, Special Olympics International, on why Bocce is such a popular sport in the Special Olympics.

"Unlike a lot of other sports where you have to be a certain size or shape, Bocce is a sport for all. It's a sport that anyone can play..."
