The Bocce competition was hosted at the Charlestown Bowling Club, Charlestown, NSW and played on twenty four courts across three bowling greens where over 300 athletes from 32 countries were vying for medals.

"The Special Olympics is growing at over 8% per annum and so every time we have a national games it just gets bigger and bigger," said Kathy Gibson, Special Olympics NZ Chief Executive.
