Packasign care & maintenance

Your Packasign (Frame & Skin) should give you many years of use providing you follow some simple care & maintenance instructions that come with the product(s). A summary guide follows. Failure to completely follow these guidelines could damage your Packasign, cause personal injury and void your warrant.

Packasign FRAME

  1. Never drag the inflated/deflated Frame on hard or rough ground as it will damage the hoses.
  2. Do not expose Frame to chemicals such as thinner, gasoline or acetone.
  3. Do not store your Frame wet or dirty (even for short periods of time) in carry bag as hosing can discolour.
  4. Always use a carry bag for transportation and for storing Frame.
  5. Do not force zips when packing away Frame as this may put undue strain on the bag causing it to tear.
  6. Do not stand, walk, jump on or drop full body weight on Frame especially when deflated.

Packasign SKIN

Storage

For short term storage the Packasign Skin can be left on the deflated frame and packed away providing the skin is clean and dry.  For longer term storage remove skin from frame, make sure the skin is completely dry and free from debris, then store loosely rolled, in a dry, cool place or mold and mildew are likely to grow.

Cleaning
  • Packasign skins can be machine-washed in warm water with a cold rinse and machine-dried on a medium or low setting.  When washing always use a fabric softener and when drying a dryer sheet to prevent the build-up of static electricity.
  • DO NOT – Dry Clean or Bleach or Iron the skin
  • Spot clean only with mild detergent and cold water and leave to dry
  • Clean zips with a quick dip in water and then dry them off. This is especially important if you've been using the Packasign in a location with sand/dirt/salt or chlorinated water.  If you don't clean the zippers, the sliders will wear out and eventually the teeth will become inoperable.

General Use (FRAME & SKIN)

  • Ultraviolet damage to Packasign skin fabric is caused by excessive exposure to sunlight. While skin fabrics are UV resistant, any synthetic fabric is susceptible to ultraviolet degradation. UV damage will cause skin to become brittle and tear easily. Once your skin has UV damage, it is non-repairable, but damage can be minimized by erecting  Packasigns where exposure to direct sunlight can be avoided.
  • Never drag the inflated/deflated Packasign on hard or rough ground as it will damage the skin and/or frame.
  • Do not expose Packasign to chemicals such as thinner, gasoline or acetone.
  • Do not use Packasign for other than temporary purposes nor leave exposed outside for prolonged periods of time. Exposure to adverse weather conditions and the suns ultraviolet rays can damage the Packasign and/or cause them to discolour.
  • Keep Packasign away from open flames and any sharp objects.

Failure to completely follow these guidelines could damage your Packasign, cause personal injury and void your Warranty. For further Hints & Tips and step by step guide for looking after your Packasign visit http://www.packaworld.com

PLEASE NOTE THAT PACKASIGN PRODUCTS ARE TEMPORARY STRUCTURES AND NOT SUITABLE FOR LONG TERM EXPOSURE OUTDOORS. OVER A PERIOD OF TIME THE INFLATABLE FRAMES WILL LOSE AIR AND AS SUCH WILL REQUIRE TOPPING UP WITH THE PUMP SUPPLIED.
