Football Goals
step by step guide
Like with most products of this ilk there are a few little tricks to inflate and pack away Packagoals and this does come with a bit of patience and practice. There will be a set of instructions with every Packagoal, so it will pay to read them especially the information about locking the valve on inflation (take cap off and push in and twist), otherwise the air will gush out when you take the hose out. With some of the larger Football Packagoals, there will be a 3m nylon twine (3mm) included and a steel peg which when attached acts as a guy rope (like a tent - see picture left). If you attach one end of the twine to the top of the centre support (the plastic thing that juts out) and fix the other to the ground you prevent the cross bar leaning forward in higher winds and it gives the goal a better shape. The cross bar height can be adjusted with the centre support (the webbing adjusts to pull crossbar up or down).

On deflation, remove the dust cap of the valve and push and twist the valve inside, you will then see that the air starts to seep out, To accelerate the air release, just gently push and wiggle the valve and then the air will start gushing out more. Once goal collapses you need to then start extracting the Air from the tubing with the 2 way pump provided (move hose to top connector) then pump until you're unable to pump anymore - the air will now be extracted from the hose which will make packing away easier. Once all the air is out remove the pump hose and twist valve back to the lock position and replace dust cap. You should then be able to fold the goal and roll it up and place in the bag.
DO NOT force the zip as this will put undue strain on the bag. If you are struggling to close the zip then you have not packed the goal away tight enough and/or you may not have extracted all the air from the hose - in which case repeat steps above.
