The playing area was surrounded by a protective net to keep the jellyfish away, and Water Polo Packanets were set up behind the goal at each end of the field to stop wayward shots and keep the matches fast-paced and flowing.
Mr Roberts said the set up was one of the best he had seen and it was no surprise the event was gaining regional and international attention. “Dubai is fast becoming a go-to for water polo in the Middle East. It’s an amazing city with a huge amount to offer players, during the tournament, as well as before and after the event.” The II. Beach Water Polo Tournament earlier this month followed an earlier international beach water polo tournament in May. That tournament was won by Dubai after a hard-fought final against Abu Dhabi. An even larger international beach water polo tournament is scheduled to take place in Dubai in April 2020, with more than 20 teams expected to make the trip. >> Find out more about Packaworlds’ inflatable water polo fields, Packagoals and Packanets on our water polo product page.
