Packaworld International has been named a finalist in the 2016 American Chamber of Commerce – DHL Express Success and Innovation Awards.
American Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand Executive Director Mike Hearn said Packaworld had reached the finals on the strength of its business relationships, innovative products, and effective strategies to reach out to growth markets in the United States.
“Packaworld is a contender for this year’s award thanks to its innovative products and strong relationships. The impressive thing here is how successful links have been created in a short time of operation. This signifies a promising future for Packaworld products in the USA.”
“It’s great to see recognition of our recent success, and we believe we have a lot more to offer by bringing the New Zealand sporting lifestyle to the world and enabling more people to play the sports they love.”
Mr Roberts said while Packaworld’s success in the USA so far had largely centred around the revitalisation of the sport of Bocce using Packabocce courts, other product initiatives such as inflatable Packaposts for junior rugby were starting to make their mark.
The AmCham – DHL Express awards celebrate success and innovation for exporters and investors working between New Zealand and the USA. The finalists were announced in a media release from the American Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand on 18 July, and Packaworld has been nominated for the Exporter of the Year to the USA NZD$0 – NZD$1 Million award category.
The 2016 AmCham-DHL Express Success and Innovation Awards, held in conjunction with Hawaiian Airlines, will be presented at a black-tie dinner at the Pullman Hotel in Auckland on 18 August.
